I always love the subspecies of monsters in these games. Even if they are just recolors, I always love fighting them and getting the different colored/stat loot.

haha oof, yeah it's pretty useful. It also works with the snowman effect and actually also when you're put to sleep, I didn't know that until pretty recently, but from what I remember it's not as effective as spinning to get out of Stun or Snowman, which are pretty consistently helpful.

No post processing 3x Rendering Resolution Upscale Type: xBRZ Upscale Level: 3x Anisotropic Filtering: 8x Texture Filtering: Linear Screen Scaling Filter: Linear Everything else should be default settings, I think. I took a little time to test the texture filtering and upscale type, I think it's nice.
I totally get that, using a weapon with a shield may help. If I were to fight him, I guess I'd go with a Gunlance or Longsword, but it's been a while, I dunno. Maybe a hammer would work well too, good luck!
Hi, i'm taking a break from Freedom Unite for a while, after beating High Rank Khezu...never want to fight a Khezu again after that. I'm working on beating the High Rank story(the village) of 4 Ultimate, came back after quitting the game for some months. I was stuck on Pink Rathian when i quit, now i beat her and also Seregios, Black Gravios, Azure Rathalos, and Brute Tigrex,(he was alot of fun) and am currently about to fight Stygian Zinogre...any tips for this fight, and for 4U in general? I assume alot of the FU stuff applies there too, don't stay in front of the monster, wait for and capitalize on any openings, ect. anything else tho?
I legit quit MHFU the first time after Nekoht's Khezu, I totally get that. Nice! Yeah... there's gonna be a lot of universal tips for all of the Monster Hunters, but honestly I haven't played MH4U in a very long time and I for sure am not really in a place to give advice for it like I am with MHFU, haven't taken notes or anything like that. I don't remember what differences are in 4th gen and for Stygian, sorry, but Zinogre has some pretty fun moves that are consistent to move around and avoid, like his stomp attacks, the one where he'll go down with his left then right etc. If you can get the hang of running to his opposite side when he does that (depending on your weapon of course), it should at least help with that move. Keep in mind that Zingore *usually* adds an extra stomp when he's enraged, but I don't know the differences from game to game. Good luck! Wish I could be more helpful.

The next urgent is...2 Monoblos!? good think i upgraded to True Devil Slicer otherwise i don't think i could ever win that. at least then i unlock the Shogun hunt a thon after beating it. BTW my 3 longswords i'll be using for a while are the Rathalos tree(fire) blangonga tree(ice) and Eager Cleaver/Devil Slicer tree(thunder), since they cover the weaknesses of most monsters. is it worth expanding into water and dragon, and if so what trees are best for those kinds of damage?

i always wonder why you use power/armor seed rather than demondrug and/or armor skin. I always take a meal that boost my health and attack but is attack/defense can stack ?
Seeds stack with the attack or defense meal buffs, drugs/skins do not. It’s handy to keep one of each in your bag though in case you cart and lose the meal buffs.
It's highly recommended to fight Gravios with a ranged weapon using piercing shots, there's some other ways you could do it, but you're only really going to be making things harder for yourself, also if you can play online that'd probably help. I know that's kind of annoying, but if you want to farm Black Gravios, or even just clear the quest, you should consider making some sort of ranged weapon with piercing/water element, especially if you're still in low/high rank. G-Rank (and Nekoht's quests) adds a sweeping beam attack which makes it harder, but low/high rank doesn't yet. Here's the section in my melee damage guide that goes over hitzones: ruclips.net/video/OLPqJSOASuA/видео.html I'm bringing that up because Black Gravios has very low hitzones, meaning they take a lot less damage from attacks. The general strategy to take them down is to break their stomach, since you'll be doing a lot more damage there, that can be very hard with any melee weapon, but using ranged weapons can help a lot, you can check my channel for Gravios to see how I went about doing things if you'd like. some months ago playing mhp3rd, rngesus blessed me 1 ruby for tail carving and 2 rubies for capture rewards, don't give up hunters, keep on grinding!
I got 1 from shooting a flying rathalos and then I get another from the carve.

Wearing the Full Silver Rathalos Armor makes you look like those Silver Knights from Dark Souls 3.

The subspecies Armor sets sacrifices defense in exchange for superior offensive skills.
Yea they mostly give better stats but sacrifice defense, that how a lot of the different class armor is

I didn't know you can wiggle the thumbstick to get out of stun faster. Everytime I get stunned, I just accept my fate and get hit

@@joe4095 normal rathalos is very good, my armor have attack up large, ART of unsheating (criticar draw ) and sharpness +1 with decorations.

I usually use bounce bombs on annoying flying opponents then flash bombing them but hey this ain't a good tactic cuz you'll get broke in no time
